The Dream is Born

Three siblings sat down together in early 2017 with a shared vision: to create a Budapest coworking space where work efficiency and environmental consciousness aren't opposites, but natural allies. We didn't want another sterile, grey coworking space – we imagined something different.

Minigarden Fusion: The Origin of the ECO Name

The partnership with Minigarden vertical plant wall company was our first big step. Vertical plant walls are not just decoration – they're living, oxygen-producing systems that provide mental refreshment and purify the air. This is when the Eco-Office name was born: an office where ecology isn't marketing, but a core value. We opened our doors at Izabella utca 68/B at the end of 2017.

The Self-Service Revolution

Two years after opening, we realized: our tenants don't work 9-to-5. Startup founders code at 5 AM, freelancers get creative at night. Why limit them with opening hours?

In 2019, we introduced the self-service 24/7 system – first in Hungary. No receptionist, no keys, no waiting. Digital PIN code on your phone, and you're in. Unlimited access, total freedom.

Green Philosophy in Practice

Eco-Office is more than an office – it's a sustainable lifestyle lab. Every decision we make serves environmental consciousness:

• Handcrafted wooden furniture: Nature-inspired, locally made, durable pieces
• 100% plastic-free: Recycled paper cups, wooden cutlery, composting
• Green energy: Our entire energy supply comes from renewable sources
• Living plant walls: 50+ m² vertical green surface, producing oxygen and purifying air
• Selective waste collection: Paper, plastic, compost – everything has its place
• Dark mode website: Energy-efficient digital interface, 0.24g CO₂/visit

200+ Tenants, One Community

Today we're home to 200+ entrepreneurs: freelancers, startup founders, remote workers, small teams. 95% satisfaction rate, 2.4 tonnes of CO₂ saved in 2025.

And yes, we're dog-friendly – because four-legged friends are also part of the community. Owners work, dogs rest on the wooden floor, beneath the plant walls.

The 10-Year Vision: One Office, Done Right

We're not planning 50 locations. We don't want to be a franchise. One office in Budapest, but done maximally sustainably – that's our mission.

However, what's coming: our own booking software will soon hit the market, so other coworking spaces can adopt the self-service model too. We scale with tech innovation, not square meters.
